Getting Snappy About Snap

Here's someone who hates the Snap pop-up preview feature, as used on this blog. If it weren't easy to turn off (just click on Options and choose Bubble Opt Out), I'd agree, but given that it's effectively optional, is it a problem?

Views, anyone?

I'd be inclined to agree with you except I can't get them to switch off in Safari!

Really? That's bad. What happens when you try (other than nothing)?

A thought: do you allow cookies for this site? - You need to in order to turn it off.

Hi, Glyn. I don't like the snap previews, but I don't mind them that much since I can turn them off globally.

Thanks for the feedback - that's what I'm hoping: that for those who hate them, the option to disable them isn't too much of a problem.

I hate them -- they are intrusive and they slow everything down -- and they won't turn off in Firefox (older version, on a Mac). I can get the options to show up on the second or third try, and when I click "turn off" it says "reload the page", but no matter what I do the damn popups remain. (I allow cookies.)

Strange: given the comment about Safari above, maybe this is a Mac issue.

After changing the options I see no real difference. In fact none of the options seem to "take" (I tried increasing the delay too). It does work correctly on Firefox 2.0.0.1, though.

I note that I get an error loading the page. A connection to spa.snap.com/options.php is marked as "Cancelled" in the Activity Monitor. It's certainly nothing I did myself.
