US can get wanted changes adopted overseas first and then "have" to adopt at home for harmonization.zotzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14510111482279103861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19798349.post-79698375690828166862009-11-22T15:10:42.792+00:002009-11-22T15:10:42.792+00:00The consequence of harmonization is one-directiona...The consequence of harmonization is one-directional: more will always rewarded. In an indirect and perhaps unforeseen way, this is also a way for corporate law to persistently supercede national sovereignty. The result is the slippery slope of paying (per view) for content online, if not paying a corporate entity for access to content.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19798349.post-32129266851373382782009-11-22T15:08:37.123+00:002009-11-22T15:08:37.123+00:00@Roger: thanks@Roger: thanksGlyn Moodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04436885795882611585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19798349.post-7178386670203095522009-11-22T15:05:13.011+00:002009-11-22T15:05:13.011+00:00Oh by the way, I meant to add that noting that thi...Oh by the way, I meant to add that noting that this process explains the "ratchet effect" was a very useful observation!Roger Lancefieldnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19798349.post-6671484723400295402009-11-22T14:30:57.935+00:002009-11-22T14:30:57.935+00:00Yes, it's very interesting indeed. I have to say, the process described here I feel is plainly discernable at "the macro level" even to casual observers and I think I some time ago internalised (as assumptions) many of the claims here. But that's the key thing of course, turning feelings, assumptions and impressions into coherent arguments supported by facts, and that's what the article does.

Another great find Glynn.
