So, what do you think: Is demand for personal genomics -- assuming technology and economics are somewhat nearby -- decades away, already here, or somewhere in between the two?

I fear that personal genomics is going to be upon us all-too soon - indeed, far sooner than we will be ready to deal with the profound consequences of this knowledge. The one-off tests are bad enough in terms of the anxiety they can cause; I dread to think what a completely genome printout will do....
