I interviewed Irving Wladawsky-Berger twice: once for
Rebel Code, soon after IBM announced its support for GNU/Linux - arguably one of the key moments in the corporate acceptance of open source - and
once for the
Guardian, shortly before he retired from IBM. On both occasions he was a pleasure to talk to.
And now I find another
reason to like the chap:
One of my favorite films is the 1956 science fiction classic Forbidden Planet.
